In her inaugural address by the newly appointed Executive Chairman of the Commission stated
“It is my pleasure to welcome Hon. Members of the Federal Character Commission, to the inaugural plenary after our appointment by Mr. President and the screening by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, praises to the Most High who made it possible.”

Furthermore, she said:
“I am looking forward to working with you for the next five years by God’s grace, in furtherance of the mandate given to us and in fulfillment of the President’s expectations.”
“The emergence of the Federal Character Principle as enshrined in the constitution is to bring together our diversity to achieve National Unity and Cohesion.”
“The Constitutional provision and enabling act will be our instrument for ensuring the implementation of the Federal Character Principle amongst Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).”
“Once again, I wish to reiterate that as we begin a journey to serve our fatherland, let me remind you that this is a mini Nigeria where every State is represented. Let us eschew all attributes of divisiveness and acrimony. Let us work assiduously to serve the Commission and the Country.”
After which she officially inaugurated the 4th Board of the Commission
“It is now my pleasure to inaugurate the 4th Board of the Federal Character Commission for the glory of the Country. I hereby the Plenary open.”
