The Executive Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Zulum paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chariman, Federal Character Commission Dr. Muheeba Farida Dankaka on 18th January, 2021.
Governor Zulum was received by the Executive Chairman Dr. Muheeba Farida Dankaka , Commissioner representing Borno State, Hon. Abba A. Monguno and Board Members. The Governor appealed for special consideration on employment into the Federal Civil Service for eligible citizens of the state, the Governor further explained the effects of the Boko Haram insurgency, where hundreds of Borno citizens have lost their means of livelihood while many qualified youths are jobless despite ongoing efforts by the State government in creating job opportunities through diverse means.
In her response, the Executive Chairman, promised to look into Governor Zulum’s request, acknowledging the situation in Borno which is well known by everyone. She assured the Governor, his state (Borno) will be equitably represented going forward.
