David Olufemi Fakeye:

David Olufemi Fakeye was born on 3rd April, 1956 in Asiegba-Ekiti in Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

He had his primary School, at Holy Trinity Primary School; Aisegba-Ekiti from 1963-1968. He had his Secondary Education at the Famous Oyemekun Grammar School in Akure in Ondo State from 1971-1975 and Divisional Teacher's Training College for his Grade II Teachers Certificate in 1977.

After his grade II Teachers Certificate, he worked as a teacher with the Catholic Primary School in Illupeju Ekiti in 1977, then he gained admission to read Mathematics and Economics at Ondo State College of Education and passed out in 1981 as one of the best three graduating students. He went on mandatory National Youth Service Corps in old Anambra State now Ebonyi, Enugu and Anambra States in 1981/1982.

Mr. D.O. Fakeye went to the University of Benin in 1982 and obtained B.Ed (Hons) degree in Economics, in 1984 with Second Class Upper Division. He proceeded to the University of Ibadan in 1985 for his master's degree in Educational Management which he obtained in 1986.

He served in various capacities, from the position of Administrative Officer I to the post of Director in the Federal Character Commission.
